Children's Advocacy Centers of Washington

Paula Reed currently serves as the Executive Director for Children’s Advocacy Centers of Washington (CACWA).  At the State Chapter, she and her team support the work of Child Advocacy Centers (CACs) and their multidisciplinary (MDT) partners through training & technical assistance, funding, research and data sharing, outreach and awareness, and more.  CACWA also works with local communities interested in developing a CAC and provides individualized technical assistance to CACs working on accreditation or reaccreditation.

Paula moved to Washington from Minnesota in early 2018 after accepting her current position at CACWA.  She has extensive nonprofit administration and fundraising experience, having spent five years raising funds for Public Television and 14 years as President for the United Way in Duluth, MN.  She then moved to the government sector and served nearly two years as the Mayor’s Public Relations Officer and 3 years as Manager for the City of Duluth' Workforce Development Division.

While Paula may be new to the work of Children’s Advocacy Centers, she is very familiar with nonprofits and statewide organizations, having served in leadership roles with both United Ways of Minnesota and the Minnesota Association of Workforce Boards.

Paula holds a BA in communications from Gustavus Adolphus College.
